About Bella Vita - Salina 48
Choosing elegance. The Salina 48 fuses exterior elegance and interior comfort, finished with the unrivalled quality of the Flagship range. The Salina 48 is ideal for cruising the Corsica and Sardinia waters for those who want the extra comfort.
The Salina 48 Sailing Catamaran is the largest boat in the fleet and performs very well under sail. With three double cabins, three bathrooms and one small single bed you can sleep up to 7 + crew (2) in a separate double cabin with its own toilet/shower. The upstairs galley, the generous refrigeration space and the large covered cockpit makes for very comfortable offshore sailing.
For sailing performance; a full batten main. For easy sailing; she has a roller furling headsail and an autopilot. This large catamaran is ideal for cruising. She will also perform equally well under power. Suitable for three couples, two families and mixed groups.
French builder Fountaine-Pajot is one of the world’s most forward-thinking companies, and I wasn’t surprised to learn the Salina 48 Evolution is manufactured with modern technology, which includes an infused sandwich composite hull plus a deckhouse moulded with new RTM eco-technology.
Because the motors are just aft of each interior cabin instead of under the berths as they are in some catamarans – plus have water- and smell-tight bulkheads between them and the accommodation, this means that motoring does not create noise or smell issues, which is a plus, although in many instances you will use just one motor anyway to conserve fuel.
Safety and performance weren’t sacrificed for space. The Salina 48 is designed with superior performance in mind. A slender shape and low center of gravity minimizes the harsh motions passengers experience when travelling through rough waters.
